On May 26, 2026, a group of Petro volunteers spent the day in Bloomfield, CT taking part in a Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Build – a hands-on event that brings creativity, teamwork, and community connection together in a big way.

Representing the local Petro team were Ryan Wolf, Max Grunert, Matt Costello, and Mary Shea. Their mission for the day: build and decorate a custom children’s playhouse based on a theme chosen by the child who would receive it. For this build, the request was a fun one – Bluey, the popular Australian cartoon pup known for imagination and big family fun.

The team jumped right in, assembling the playhouse, painting panels, and adding details inspired by the beloved character. The Playhouse Build program is designed to give children a space that feels uniquely theirs, and each structure is crafted with the child’s interests in mind.

At the end of the build, the best moment of the day arrived. The child and their family came to pick up their brand-new Bluey playhouse, seeing it for the first time. The handoff included big smiles, excitement, and a photo with the family to capture the moment.
