Hammers, hard hats and heart in MA.

On September 4, 2026, members of the Petro Boston team traded their tools of the HVAC trade for hammers and hard hats as they volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Roslindale, MA.

Representing Petro were Tal Gallagher, Sean Sullivan, Brendan Kingston, Ed Ward, Mike Williams and Susie Evans, who spent the day helping build new housing for families in need. Returning for their second year on the project, the team was excited to see how much progress had been made since their last visit.

Throughout the day, the group worked alongside Habitat for Humanity volunteers, building subfloor framing, anchoring 2x4s for new drywall, and framing closets in the developing homes.

"Volunteers from Petro Boston spent the day helping Habitat for Humanity work on new housing for those in need in our community. This was our second year at the project and it was great to see the progress coming along. Our technicians stepped away from boilers and furnaces into carpentry and worked on building out the subfloor framing, anchoring 2X4s for the new drywall and framing out the new closets. ITwas a great experience to give back to the community and work with Habitat again," said Mike Williams.

Habitat for Humanity helps families build and improve places to call home, creating safe, affordable housing and stronger communities. Supporting organizations like Habitat for Humanity reflects our commitment to giving back and living our core values every day.
