At Petro Home Services, our commitment to home comfort goes beyond heating systems—it extends to ensuring that families in need have access to warmth when they need it most. That’s why we proudly support Project Warmth, Long Island’s only non-governmental, island-wide emergency fuel fund.
Project Warmth provides one-time heating assistance grants to individuals and families struggling to pay their fuel bills. Payments go directly to oil and utility companies, helping ease the burden for those facing financial hardship. This support ensures that families can allocate resources toward other necessities like food, medication, and daily living expenses—without having to sacrifice a warm home in the winter.
Through direct contributions and our partnership with the United Way of Long Island, Petro Home Services has played a role in helping over 2,000 families this past winter – including 1,400 children, 1,000 seniors, 100 veterans, and 2,500 adults. With 92% of the households served having at least one vulnerable family member, Project Warmth prioritizes assistance for those most at risk, ensuring no one is left in the cold.
But our commitment doesn’t stop at financial support—our Petro team members have also gotten involved in various ways to help make a lasting impact in our communities. By working together, we can continue to provide relief to families in need and ensure Long Islanders stay safe, comfortable, and warm.
We’re honored to support Project Warmth along with many other Long Island fuel and home service companies and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come.
