Get To Know Your Customers Day
There are a lot of meaningful and fun calendar “Days” celebrated throughout the year, like National Ice Cream Day (July 20th), but today is one of our favorite days: Get To Know Your Customers Day!
It’s our favorite because it gives us an opportunity to celebrate those people who ultimately keep our company successful – our valued customers! Every day at Petro Home Services, we strive to understand the wants and needs of our customers as best we can because only then can we achieve our goal of providing the best in customer satisfaction. However, getting to know a customer often goes beyond this scope and we wanted to share a few examples of how Petro Home Services team members have done that this year:
Recently, a Petro customer called to discuss their account balance and explained that times were tough health wise, financially and that it was a struggle to put food on their table. A Petro Home Services team member shared the customer’s story and helped raise over $100 thanks to their colleagues. Using these funds, the customer service representative shopped for groceries and, after asking the very grateful customer’s permission, delivered them to her home.
August 30th, 2016 was a special day for long-time Petro customer Lisa De Vine, who has been battling breast cancer for the past two years. With her own mother going through a similar experience over that time, a Petro team member struck up a special bond with Mrs. De Vine, sharing their experiences. When Mrs. De Vine shared that she saw the Petro Pink Truck at a local Breast Cancer Walk, she wondered if it were possible to have the Pink Truck make an oil delivery at her home, to help continue raising awareness about breast cancer and the efforts to find a cure for it. This was swiftly arranged and the customer service representative was along for the ride, with a bunch of pink roses for Lisa, who was also surprised to learn that her oil delivery was free!
This is the kind of local, personalized customer service and support that we all strive to achieve every single day. That’s why we think this special holiday, getting to know customers like friends and family should be celebrated more (like every day).
